More October Activities

This past week was Red Ribbon Week.  We celebrated making healthy choices for our bodies by not putting harmful things into our bodies and treating everyone with respect.  One of the school wide activities was a door decorating contest.  The first graders all put their handprints on a poster to show that we "Keep Our Paws Off Drugs".  Hopefully you were able to see the door decoration during conferences.  Your child's part of the poster will be coming home this week with their drug free coloring page.

Fundraisers are due this Tuesday!!!!  There are quite a few cool prizes for selling and the class with the most items sold gets a special hat for their teacher to wear!  You may remember seeing me last year with a rainbow mohawk...  Also, any students who sell 25 items or more get to ride in the Hummer Limo to lunch!

Our Halloween/Fall Party is Wednesday from 1:15-2:15.  I will be sending home reminders of what you may have signed up to bring and what lunch choice you made for your child that day.  Feel free to come and see the parade even if you didn't sign up for the party!  I will be posting pictures from the parade and party as soon as possible!  Please only send your child's costume with them to school, do not put it on in the morning...we have a full morning of learning before the party can begin!

A big thank you to all of the families that were able to make it to conferences and support our book fair!
